The Entrepreneurial Soft Life™
What is The Entrepreneurial Soft Life™? Soft means strong.
The Entrepreneurial Soft Life™ is a transformational approach to how accomplished women lead, build, and experience their success.
Why It Exists
Softness belongs to us, too.
The Entrepreneurial Soft Life™ was created with successful Black women business owners in mind.
For many Black women, strength was expected long before softness was something we were encouraged to consider. We learned how to carry responsibility, figure things out, keep moving, solve problems, lead, provide, and produce. Those qualities may have contributed to the success we have built.
The Entrepreneurial Soft Life™ is not asking us to reject that strength. Our experiences are not all the same, and this work makes room for each woman's own story. What it offers is space to ask:
- What helped me get here?
- What did I learn to carry?
- What patterns helped me succeed?
- Which of those patterns still serve me?
- Which ones am I ready to lead differently from?
- How do I want to experience the success I have built now?
What helped me become successful is not automatically how I have to experience my success forever.
We do not have to surrender ambition, excellence, discipline, leadership, standards, or strength to experience softness. It is strength expressed with more awareness and more choice.
Soft power is not the absence of strength. It is strength expressed differently, through awareness, agency, discipline, discernment, and intentional choice in how you live, lead, and build.
The Entrepreneurial Soft Life™ recognizes that the way a woman leads is influenced by more than business strategy. Her experiences, beliefs, mindset, identity, habits, expectations, and learned ways of operating can influence how she makes decisions, sets boundaries, builds structure, uses authority, and leads herself and others.
The goal is not to discard everything that helped you become successful. It is to develop enough self-awareness and clarity to recognize what still serves you, what needs to evolve, and where you have the agency to choose differently.
Inward
- What shaped you?
- What do you believe?
- What patterns or learned ways of operating may be influencing how you lead today?
Outward
How are those things showing up in your leadership, decisions, boundaries, relationships, structure, team, and business?

- 02
Clarity
Without clarity, there will be no transformation.
Understanding what shaped you and how it may be showing up now.
- 03
Vision
Where am I actually going?
What do I want my business and leadership to look like now?
- 04
Structure
Systems, roles, delegation, organization, decision-making, processes, responsibilities, and how the business operates and work gets done.
- 05
Boundaries
What protects what I am building?
Standards around time, responsibilities, access, expectations, what belongs to me, and what I will and will not carry.
- 06
Soft Power
Soft Power reflects how a woman chooses to lead with calm confidence, discernment, emotional intelligence, wisdom, accountability, boundaries, structure, and intentional leadership.
Intention runs through it all
Soft Means Strong
- Soft does not mean weak.
- Soft does not mean passive.
- Soft does not mean lowering standards.
- Soft does not mean avoiding difficult decisions.
- Soft does not mean becoming unstructured.
- Soft does not mean simply doing less.
Soft means strong.
It requires
- Self-awareness
- Accountability
- Discipline
- Clarity
- Structure
- Boundaries
- Discernment
- Intentional choice
Awareness and Agency
Awareness helps you see. Agency helps you recognize that you have choices. Choice determines how you lead. And how you lead creates impact.
Leadership Has Impact
Leadership does not happen in isolation. People experience the way you lead.
Standards, accountability, authority and difficult decisions still matter. Authority does not remove the responsibility to lead with integrity. Your leadership affects employees, customers, clients, contractors, vendors, collaborators and everyone else who experiences the business.
Soft Power
Soft Power is not the absence of authority. It is knowing how to use authority without losing sight of the people affected by it.
Lead with clarity. Build with structure. Thrive with soft power.™
